During the Covid-19 crisis, CTLA had the pleasure of assisting the Seahaven Storehouse with their frontline deliveries to those in need. The need for support from the local volunteer run foodbank has increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic and Storehouse volunteers needed help with transporting the large quantities of food from the store in Lewes to their distribution site in Seaford. CTLA provided regular free transport to move the bulk food supplies and by working together both organisations jointly supported those individuals in need.
CTLA’s General Manager – Kerrie Smart- Jones, Fundraising Manager – Gina Bickerstaff and Operations Co-Ordinator – Lucy Lunn had the pleasure of visiting the Seahaven Storehouse and meeting the fantastic team that continue to provide this vital support for many.
During Covid-19 CTLA has adapted and added new services to provide frontline assistance to all in need in the Lewes District and beyond . As government restrictions start to ease, that support is still available and those new services will continue alongside the return of our firmly established ones to assist those that cannot access regular public transport to access goods and services in the fight to beat loneliness and isolation and lead a socially active and independent lifestyle..
