We would like to sincerely thank the recently reformed South Heighton Strolling Players and their Director, Michaela Twaits and Producer Ricky Clarke, for donating part of the proceeds of their 2019 pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seventies Dwarves’ to help CTLA reduce isolation and loneliness in our community.
The show was well received by the local audiences with one audience member saying “I haven’t laughed so much in months. My stomach hurts!”. All of the actors live locally and, for many, this show was their first time ever performing on stage.
The generosity of their audiences means that £500 will be used by CTLA to provide accessible trips for people unable to use public transport – and a further £1000 is going into other good causes in the local community. What a roaring success!
So in true Pantomime style, to all the actors, crew, audiences and supporters – “It’s Behind You” – and we look forward to seeing what your 2020 show will be!
