We would like to thank Caroline Counihan and her family for thinking of CTLA this Christmas. Here is a message from her about their display:
“We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone.”
Hello everyone! Now that Halloween and Guy Fawkes is over, it won’t be long until Christmas arrives! I live in Newhaven and always decorate my home for Christmas. Most of our decorations are all handmade and we try to light it up as much as possible to share the Christmas spirit!
This year we would like to give something back to the community. My husband and I have decided to collect for CTLA, with their permission. It’s such a great charity which helps transport the most vulnerable in our community who can not manage to use public transport. It alleviates loneliness, social isolation and ensures the whole community feels included and socially active.
On the 25th of November, we would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone in the area to come for the big switch on! The Mayor of Newhaven has kindly agreed to do the honours as this is a chosen charity of his.
We would love you to join us for a glass of mulled wine, a mince pie or two and lots of Christmas cheer! And hopefully, we can raise some money for a much deserving charity.
Refreshments will be served from 4pm and the big switch on will be at 5pm.
We also have a special Santa Post Box. All letters are replied to personally.
Location: 66 Northdown Road, Newhaven
