The Three Towns Community Bus
The Three Towns Community Bus is a service for anyone who has difficulty using scheduled bus services and who lives in and around Newhaven, Denton, The Mount, South Heighton, Peacehaven, Telscombe Town and Village and the East Saltdean areas. As from the 6th February 2012 the Three Town’s service will have extended operating hours from 7.30am to 5.30pm and will have it’s northern boundary extended to cover Piddinghoe Village.
The Community Bus will take you anywhere within these areas.
You can use this service to travel to local shops and supermarkets, doctors / dentist / optician appointments, visit friends or day centres.
Most residents of all age groups living within the area covered by the service. To check eligibility please complete the online application form or phone CTLA.
Our minibus is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate folding buggies.
There is a standard flat rate fare of £1.50 per single journey accept for journey’s to and from Piddinghoe where the fare will be £2 per single journey.
Accompanied children under 12 years of age go FREE.
Unfortunately the Countycard Concessionary Bus Pass cannot be accepted on this service.
We offer a truly personal service by providing door to door transport (subject to access).
The 3 Towns Community Bus Service is a local transport service for residents, covering the whole of Newhaven, Denton, South Heighton, The Mount, Peacehaven, Telscombe Town and Village and East Saltdean within the following road boundaries –
- North (west of river) – Newhaven Cemetery (C7)
- North (east of river) – The Hollow (A26)
- East – The Drove Roundabout (A259)
- West – East Saltdean
The Bus is operated by CTLA with funding assistance from Newhaven, Peacehaven and Telscombe Town Councils.
The service will operate Monday to Friday between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm.
The CTLA offices are manned between 8.00am – 4.00pm
Monday – Friday so just telephone with your booking request trying to give at least one days notice.
