Eastbourne Community Bus
The Eastbourne Community Bus Service is a local transport service for residents within the boundaries of Eastbourne Borough Council and as from the 8th May 2012 the Eastbourne Dial-A-ride will have an extended area of service for Polegate residents.
You qualify for membership if you fulfil one of the following conditions:
- You either hold or would qualify for a national concessionary bus pass
- You have any form of mobility difficulty that prevents you using other local bus services.
The Bus is supported by funding from East Sussex County Council. The service will operate on Monday to Friday between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm.
The Community Bus will take you to and from anywhere within the Eastbourne Borough Council area. You can use this service to travel to shops / doctors / dentist / optician appointments / visit friends / day centres / play centre / leisure centre / the station etc. We offer a truly personal service by providing door to door transport (subject to access).
There is a fare of £2.50 per each single journey or £4.50 return. Unfortunately the National Bus Pass cannot be accepted on this service.
You need to be registered to use the service, registration is £12 per annum. To register please complete a registration form and forward this to the CTLA office with your cheque. On first registration you will be supplied a voucher for a free return trip. The CTLA offices are manned between 8.00 am – 4.30 pm Monday – Friday so just telephone us on 01273 517332 with your booking request giving at least one day notice.
