The Havens and Weald Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have extended their partnership with CTLA Community Transport to enable patients to get to medical appointments at the Haven’s coastal GP practices and to the Lewes Victoria Hospital.
Registered patients of practices in Newhaven, Peacehaven, Telscombe and East Saltdean all qualify for the scheme.
The FREE transport service for patients will now run until 31st March 2017 following a successful trial period which saw over eight hundred people sign up for the service.
General Manager Derek Barnett said;
“CTLA is delighted that this innovative service will continue to be available to all the patients who can use it to ensure they attend their medical appointments. Since the service commenced there have been many benefits both to the individual patients but also to the GP practices.
The contract extension will give us more time to further improve awareness of the availability of the scheme and ensure that the benefits of using this and our other services are enjoyed by as many local residents as possible”
